Locations & Trucks
Every CliqMenu business needs at least one location. A location can be a food truck, a restaurant, a cafe, a market stall, a shop — anywhere you serve customers. Each location is set up independently with its own address, dining methods, payment options, and menu.
Adding a location
- Navigate to Food Trucks / Locations in the side menu.
- Click Add Location.
- Fill in the required details:
- Location Name — a descriptive name (e.g., "Saturday Market Truck", "Main Street Cafe")
- Address — the physical address where this location operates
- Contact Details — phone number for this specific location
- Click Save.
If you operate a food truck that moves between spots, you can update the address whenever your location changes. Your QR code stays the same regardless of address updates.
Dining methods
For each location, you configure which dining methods are available to customers:
- Dine-In — customers order and eat at the location
- Takeaway — customers order and collect their food to go
You can enable one or both options. Customers will see the available dining methods when they open your menu.
Payment methods
Each location can accept one or more payment methods:
- Cash at Counter — customers pay with cash when collecting their order
- Card at Counter — customers pay by card at your counter
- Online — customers pay online when placing their order through the digital menu
To accept online payments, your business must have a connected payment account (Stripe). See the Stripe Setup guide for setup instructions.
You can mix and match payment methods per location. For example, a food truck might accept cash and card at the counter, while a restaurant might offer all three options including online ordering.
Assigning a menu
Each location needs a menu assigned to it. This is the menu customers see when they scan the location's QR code.
- Open the location you want to configure.
- Select the menu to assign from the dropdown.
- Save your changes.
You can assign the same menu to multiple locations, or create different menus for different locations. For example, a weekend market truck might have a smaller menu than your main restaurant.
Location status
Each location can be set to Active or Inactive:
- Active — the location's QR code works and customers can view the menu and place orders
- Inactive — the QR code is temporarily disabled; customers scanning it will not see your menu
This is useful for seasonal locations or trucks that only operate on certain days. You don't need to delete a location when it's not in use — just set it to inactive.
QR codes per location
Every location automatically gets its own unique QR code. This means you can track orders by location and offer different menus at different spots. See the QR Codes guide for details on downloading and displaying your QR codes.
